GEMS to unveil LDS4 colour display

GEMS TO UNVEIL GROUND BREAKING LDS4 COLOUR DISPLAY AT
AUTOSPORT ENGINEERING

Media information: 06 January 2009

Electronics engineering specialist General Engine Management Systems Ltd (GEMS) is launching its ground breaking LDS4 colour display at January’s Autosport Engineering. The LDS4 features the Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode, AMOLED, which is the next generation in display technology. It provides a superior viewing experience when compared to LCD, TFT or plasma, due to a number of key features, which include a higher contrast and brightness making the display clearly readable, even in direct sunlight.

At the Birmingham-based show, the company will be making a number of further announcements, including the release of its plug and play ECU and ACD products for the Mitsubishi Evo X and Subaru Impreza 08, as well as the launch of its new engine calibration software GWv4.

Choosing Autosport Engineering in 2008 for their first exhibition in a number of years, the event proved extremely successful for GEMS, with the company’s stand kept particularly busy during the show’s two days.

“Autosport Engineering gave us many new contacts and also allowed us to go face-to-face with our regular customers and to be able to talk to them about new developments and their current requirements,” commented GEMS manager Henry Skinner.

Following its 2008 success, GEMS wants to continue its development and increase publicity, and sees Autosport Engineering as a major part of that. “The show is not only a key part of GEMS’ marketing strategy but is also the major point in the motorsport calendar which allows us to make contact with new and current customers,” said Skinner.

“We are delighted that GEMS is back with us in 2009. We find that companies who use the show to release new innovations come back year after year thanks to the positive response they get from their customers,” claimed Autosport Engineering’s head of business development Tony Tobias.

GEMS will be found at stand number E1221 at the show. For further information the company click on to the website www.gems.co.uk.
