MCNISH TELLS AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL VISITORS HE WANTS TO BE WORLD CHAMPION

Two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Allan McNish said at Autosport International that he agreed with plans that are in motion for a new worldwide sportscar series for manufacturers.

Answering questions from the floor on the Autosport Stage, McNish was asked by a young fan if he wanted to be World Champion, like Jenson Button. The Scotsman laughed and answered: "Every driver wants to be a world champion, in whichever series they race. And if the plans that are being talked about come together, then there may be a worldwide sportscar championship in 2011. I'd love to have a crack at that world title," he said.
